Tires for Trails

One of the things that really sets our little community apart are our awesome volunteers. Whenever something needs to be done – trailwork, cooking at a race, helping with a kids ride – people like you are there pitching in to make great things happen.

And it’s not just the same core people. Using our chapter volunteer time recording tool, 111 volunteers have recorded over 1600 hours so far this year. That’s really amazing when you stop and think about it. One hundred and eleven people cared enough about our cause to share of one of the most precious things they possess – time! And it’s just part of the picture – I’ve worked side by side with people all day on projects who haven’t yet bothered to log their time.

As part of the Teaming for Trails program, the MCMBA received a grant of 12 pairs of nice 26″ and 29″ MTB tires from CST to support our trail building volunteers. We’ve decided to do a random drawing from our pool of volunteers for the first six pairs and to hand out an additional set of tires at each of our next 6 trail days. A small token of “Thanks” for all you do!

What about you? Is all your time recorded? If not, click here!
