MCMBA Volunteer of the Year – 2013

Please join us in congratulating Don Chisholm as the MCMBA Volunteer of the Year for 2013!

A couple years ago, we had a leadership vacuum at Maybury State Park. We had many willing volunteers, but no one at the helm. Don volunteered to fill that role, working to coordinate work days, address issues on the trail, and becoming the liaison with the park staff. The Maybury CPS race that was held at the park each year needed freshening, and Don worked with the park staff to enable us to provide a completely unique race day experience using trails that are normally off limits to mountain biking. As 2014 unfolds, the Maybury trail is in great shape, we have an excellent relationship with the park staff, and the CPS race in August is set to be one of the best ever.

Thanks Don!
