Tree Farm Relay – 7/26


Get ready to roll out the red carpet and hit the trails at the 20th annual Tree Farm Relay Event at Lakeshore Park in Novi – —our biggest, boldest, most action-packed race yet!

This year, we’re celebrating 20 years of epic racing with a theme inspired by the silver screen. Gather your team of four, channel your inner legends of the big screen, and prepare for a mountain bike relay filled with thrills, chills, and maybe even a few plot twists.

  • Each team is cast with 4 supporting players, male, female, or coed actors
  • Costumes encouraged – bonus points for style and star power
  • 1 lap short feature races (sport) or two lap double features (advanced)

Event details and schedule

It’s the same fun, crazy race that you have all come to love! Details:

125 TEAM LIMIT! This event usually sells out, so don’t delay. 

Sport (men, women and co-ed),  Advanced (men, women and co-ed) and Costume classes

Four person team relay: one lap for each Sport or Costume rider, 2 laps for each Advanced rider

Fast 10 mile course layout using two-track and single-track. Race officials reserve the right to modify the course in case of inclement weather

Mens, Womens and co-ed divisions in each class (Costume Class is all co-ed)

One of the opposite sex, required to qualify a Co-ed team

Time bonus awarded for best costumes in Costume Class. Costumes must be worn during racing – choose wisely. Costume judging 30 minutes prior to start time. All participants must be present for judging. 

Human powered bicycles only

No age divisions

Chronotrack timing by Newton Timing & Race Services

Race fees only $140 per team before June 1st, $160 per team until July 25th, day-of registration is $200

Advanced teams start at 9:00 am, race meeting at 8:45 am, registration cut-off at 8:30 am

Sport and Costume teams start at 11:00 am, race meeting at 10:45 am, registration cut-off at 10:30 am
